导语:2025年4月8日,域名协会(DNA)宣布将创建一个目录,帮助有兴趣申请新顶级域名的组织。该目录将在6月的ICANN会议前发布。
The Domain Name Association (DNA), a trade group part of i2Coalition, is creating a directory to help groups interested in applying for new top level domains. With the next round of top level domain expansion on tap for 2026, many potential applicants are seeking a helping hand to navigate the complicated process. ICANN itself must remain neutral and doesn’t generally point applicants to consultants and service providers. So DNA is stepping into the void, creating a directory of providers and consultants who can help applicants through the process. Its goal is to help applicants find providers for help with: String selection and business planning, Application writing and submission, Registry operations and compliance, DNS security and infrastructure, Rights protection and registration policies, Marketing and branding strategies. Providers interested in being in the directory can fill out this form[40]. DNA has created an independent advisory council to shape inclusion criteria for the directory. The group includes Jim Prendergast, Jothan Frakes, Martin Kuechenthal, Lilian Fosteris, and Christa Taylor. The directory will launch in time for the next ICANN meeting in Prague this June.
